§ 98-88. Refund of deposit.

  • (a)

    Any utility deposit made to the city by any customer shall be refunded to the customer when:


    The customer has one year of continuous water service;


    The customer has no more than two late payments in the past 12 months;


    The customer has no disconnects for non-payment in the past 12 months; and


    The customer has no returned checks in the past 12 months.


    If the city has refunded the customer's utility deposit under the criteria set out in subsection (a) of this section, and thereafter the customer's water service has been disconnected for nonpayment, the customer shall pay a new utility deposit.
