§ 98-87. Utility deposit.

  • (a)

    Along with the application for water, wastewater, or solid waste collection service, the applicant shall pay to the city a deposit as follows:

    (1)

    If the application seeks to establish water, wastewater, and solid waste residential service, $120.00.

    (2)

    If the applicant seeks to establish water, wastewater, or solid waste residential service, but not all three services, $60.00.

    (3)

    Commercial and industrial service, $180.00.

    (b)

    At the time the application for service is made, the applicant shall pay to the city an amount equal to one-half of the appropriate deposit. The remaining deposit amount will be spread equally over the first two utility bills. Nothing in this section shall prohibit an applicant from paying the entire amount of the deposit when they apply for service.
