§ 46-57. Lien for charges incurred.

  • The city manager or the city sanitarian shall file an affidavit in the office of the county clerk setting out the charges incurred by the city pursuant to this article, and the city shall thereby perfect a privileged lien on the property involved, second only to tax liens and liens for street improvements, together with ten-percent interest from the date such expense was incurred. For any such expenditures and interest, suit may be instituted and foreclosure had in the name of the city, and the statement so made or a certified copy thereof shall be prima facie proof of the amount expended for any such work or improvements.
