§ 40-255. Political signs.

  • (a)

    Political signs are allowed subject to the following conditions:

    (1)

    The sign is located on private property with the consent of the property owner;

    (2)

    The sign does not exceed eight feet in height;

    (3)

    The sign may not have an effective area greater than 36 square feet;

    (4)

    The sign shall not be illuminated;

    (5)

    The sign shall not contain any moving elements.

    (b)

    A sign erected solely for and related to a public election may be erected on private property not earlier than the ninetieth day before the election and must be removed not later than the tenth day after the election date.
