§ 26-99. Conditions for issuance.

  • (a)

    No license to operate an amusement center shall be granted unless the premises sought to be used for such purposes are in an area where such use is permitted under appendix A of this Code pertaining to zoning and, further, unless the premises are so constructed that the entire playing area is viewable from the street.

    (b)

    No license shall be granted unless it shall appear upon investigation by the chief of police, the chief of the fire department and the building official that the premises desired to be used for the purpose of an amusement center comply with the laws of this state and the rules of the city, and such officers shall, in their respective capacities, note their approval or disapproval upon the application.

    (c)

    No license shall be granted where the premises sought to be used for such purpose has entrances and exits to and from adjoining buildings or rooms not used in connection therewith.
