§ 22-240. Gas tests.

Latest version.
  • Gas tests shall be required on buildings or structures for which a certificate of occupancy is required. Nothing in this article shall prohibit the gas supply agency from requiring a gas test when in the opinion of such agency it is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the occupants. A permit and inspection are required for such tests.

A gas test is not required if the structure has been vacant for less than six months and has not been damaged or if the owner has discontinued gas service during non-use time, provided no change in occupancy has occurred.
