§ 22-239. Authorization of gas service.

(a)

No new building shall be provided gas service unless the gas utility company for the city shall have been given clearance from the building official's office to do so.

(b)

No building, excluding one- and two-family dwellings, shall be reconnected to gas service until a certificate of occupancy and a clearance for reconnection shall have been issued by the building official's office to the gas supply agency for the city. Requirements for certificates of occupancy are in section 22-54.

(c)

No propane is allowed if gas service is available within 100 feet.
