§ 22-237. Amendments.
The gas code adopted in section 22-236 shall be amended as follows:
Section 903.3 Butane is added as follows:
(a)
Any structure inside the city piped for butane gas may be connected to the gas supply agency line only after a properly licensed and bonded plumber has applied for a permit, made the appropriate changes and received approval from the building official's office. The building official shall then notify the gas supply agency that service has been authorized.
(b)
Gas code is amended by deleting the current verbiage and inserting "connection to liquified petroleum gas (butane and propane) shall not be permitted unless the property is more than 100 feet from a natural gas distribution line. A properly licensed contractor shall apply for a permit prior to installation."
