There is adopted for and by the city a building code consisting of the International
Residential Code, 2012 edition, the International Building Code, 2012 edition, the
International Plumbing Code, 2012 edition, the International Mechanical Code, 2012
edition, the International Energy Conservation Code, 2012 edition, the International
Existing Building Code, 2012 edition, the International Property Maintenance Code,
2012 edition, the 2011 National Electrical Code, and the International Fuel Gas Code,
2012 edition, as recommended by the International Code Council, in their entirety,
except as amended in this division. The codes are published in book form and referred
to, are incorporated in this division and made a part of this division for all purposes.
A copy of the codes is filed in the office of the city secretary. If any conflict
occurs with the codes adopted by this section and the code, state law, or city ordinances,
rules or regulations, the provisions of this Code, state law, or city ordinances,
rules, or regulations shall prevail and be controlling.
