§ 13.11. Failure to begin planned unit development.

  • If no construction has begun in the planned unit development within one year from the approval of the planned unit development final plans and recording of documents, said approval shall lapse and be of no further effect. The commission, upon showing of good cause by the developer, may extend for periods of one year, the time for beginning construction. If an approved planned unit development application shall lapse, as provided herein, notice of such lapse shall be recorded by the commission in the office of the county clerk of Anderson County, and thereafter such approval shall be considered as having been voided. Written notification of such lapse shall be forwarded to the developer by certified mail, and the commission shall attach a copy of such notification to the recorded final plans or plats.
